Well. David and I met in 1978 in London. We were on a coach camping tour of England, Wales and Scotland for three weeks. Climbed to the peak of Ben Nevis to watch the sunrise together.

David found a button in the snow and I kept it as my souvineer of the achievement of going to the highest place in the British Isles.

Unfortunately, this was a very short visit and we did not have long to catch up after 39 years. We had a lovely lunch and walked around Kesington Park and took in the sights. Met the local inhabitants. and compared camera angles.

It was a great day in good company and really good to see David again. He hasn’t changed so much and I am sure he didn’t need to. I just hope it is not another 39 years before we meet again. Thank you Betty and David for taking the time to see me. cheers. Keep well. Stay safe.

11072016 Carlie visit

Another great event!! My niece had a short vist to London on her way to France. It was good to see her and spend time, shopping, shopping, shopping, oh and eating. Only kidding. we didnt have a lot of time and had the priorities to consider. The Westfield at Shepherds Bush is a difficult place to get out of, with a “wide load” of shopping bags. And Kensington High Street seems to never end!!!! Harrods was an amazing place to visit, architecture! people! shops! yes, I know it is one big shop, but so much to see! The dresses, handbags, shoes, and the jewelery!!!

We enjoyed food at a number of places we found. I have to say the most interesting was Dinner by Heston, it was hard to believe that the strawberry dessert was made from a 400 year old recipie!!!! It was delicious. the main course was only from the 1830’s but most enjoyable.
